Greetings from the Dean
Jeffrey Kuan
Spring semester at Drew Theological School started by welcoming 22 masters students who come to us from 10 different denominations, 11 states and 8 countries. In the current challenging ecology of theological education, Drew continues to show well among our peer institutions -- in the top 10% of ATS schools for enrollment, acceptance rate, and total degrees awarded. This is good news (more).

This January, Drew Theological School's Bell Methodist Bishop-In-Residence Program invited UMC Bishop Peggy Johnson to campus for an intensive course challenging students to bridge the gap between churches and the disabled. Made possible by a generous gift in 1995 by Dr. William A. Tieck, T'42 in honor of his longtime friend, New York area Methodist laywoman Florence Ellen Bell, the Bell Methodist Bishop-In-Residence Program supports research and scholarly publication in Methodist studies, and education of lay and clergy leaders about Methodism's historical legacy and contemporary dynamics (more). |
