The Student Alumni/ae Board (SAB), currently being led by four dynamic sophomores on the executive committee, just finished its first Study Buddy project this fall. A Study Buddy is a special package of goodies packed FOR students BY students as a community service project (all current parents were sent a letter asking if they would like to purchase a Study Buddy for their student).

The planning and implementation of an event like this takes numerous hours and dedication by everyone on the Student Alumni/ae Board. After weekly meetings as a group, mailings, road trips to Costco, identifying goodies to put in the Study Buddy and managing the cost, it was a success!

A total of 150 Study Buddy kits were purchased by parents and about 65% of the students wrote thank you notes to their parents on the spot.
