Spring 2001 - Classics offerings for the spring semester have been announced. Students can choose from classes like Power and Space, examining architecture and its uses in the ancient world. Mythology, that ever-popular yearly offering, returns. And Hellenistic Texts, a look at ancient religious and philosophical texts, promises stimulating discussion on a unique and interesting topic. Of course, Latin will continue to be offered, with advanced Latinists delighting in the romantic musings of Catullus and Propertius.

21 Nov - Dr. William Calder III is coming to Drew to present a lecture on behalf of the Religion Dept entitled "Why Christianity Won." This lecture will examine how Christianity came to triumph over other religions in the ancient world. Check back here soon for when and where this lecture is being held.
