Try out NetStorage - A new way to access your network files from off-campus
Computing and Network Services is currently investigating using Novell
NetStorage as a replacement for our current Webfiles service. NetStorage
is easy to use and allows you to access files on your network drives
(F:, G;, K:, etc.) from off-campus using any modern web browser.
NetStorage also provides WebDAV (commonly called "Web Folders")
capability, which will allow you to browse your network drives using
Windows Explorer from off-campus just as you can from on-campus. WebDAV
is also directly supported by Microsoft Office and many other applications,
so you will be able to open files directly from within Office while off-campus.
NetStorage is now available as a preview or public beta test for all
members of the Drew community. If you frequently use Webfiles or FTPfiles
from off-campus, please give NetStorage a try and let us know what you
think.
