Mozilla 1.7.7 is available for Windows XP and Windows 98. We are now recommending that all users select Mozilla as their default browser in Windows, instead of Internet Explorer.

The new version of Mozilla includes some security-related bugfixes. Support staff may ask you to upgrade if you encounter a problem and have not yet upgraded Mozilla.

In order to install the new version, log into the campus network on your computer and make sure you do not have any Mozilla windows open. Double-click on the Application Explorer icon on your Windows Desktop. Click through to the folder containing the Mozilla setup icons (Application Explorer > Drew > Install Software > Mozilla). Please pick either the desktop or notebook version of the install, as appropriate. When asked if you want to make Mozilla your default browser, click on "Yes". For help installing Mozilla, please call the CNS Helpdesk at x3205 or make a request via either http://support.drew.edu or by emailing helpdesk@drew.edu.

For home computers, computers running other operating systems, or computers running Windows 95 or Windows ME, you can find a Mozilla 1.7.7 installer at http://www.mozilla.org/releases/#1.7.7 – we do not recommend you install the test 1.8 version also offered on that page.
