NetStorage replaces Webfiles

As previously noted, Computing and Network Services has implemented Novell NetStorage to replace our legacy Webfiles service. Like Webfiles NetStorage allows you to access your Drew network files using any web browser. Novell NetStorage provides enhanced services, including multi-file upload/download, access to NetWare Salvage, and your choice of either browser-based or WebDAV based file access.

Both Webfiles and NetStorage have been operating concurrently for the past year. As we had indicated previously, and announced on the Webfiles web site for the past month, the legacy Webfiles service has been discontinued today, May 22, 2005. Accessing the Webfiles site will now direct you to NetStorage instead.

FTPFiles service is unaffected by this announcement and will continue to be supported.
