Update on Lenovo Battery Recall

We have been notified by Lenovo that none of the batteries that were shipped with ThinkPads ordered by Drew are subject to the recall announced last Thursday.  This means that we will not have to do advance battery replacements on campus, and that users can continue to use their laptop batteries normally.  If, however, you have purchased a replacement battery, and you have a R52, T43, R60 or T60, you should go to http://www.lenovo.com/batteryprogram and determine if your replacement battery is subject to recall.
