System maintenance and downtime
UPDATE: The migration was completed successfully as of 12:30 am.
Computing and Network Services will be performing software maintenance that will require brief periods of downtime for nearly all Drew University web sites and web-based applications. In order to minimize the impact of this service disruption, we will be performing the work after hours on Wednesday evening--commencing at midnight and continuing through 1:00 am on the morning of August 7.
During this time there will be several brief periods (ranging from 1 to 20 minutes in length) during which Drew web sites and web-based applications will not be reachable. This is a partial list of services which will be impacted by the work:
- The Drew web site (www.drew.edu)
- GroupWise WebAccess (webmail.drew.edu)
- Moodle
- CampusWeb
- Drew Library Catalog
- NetStorage
- Drew Community Forums
We will be performing operating system upgrades and migrating the system responsible for securing and directing traffic to all of the University's web-based services. This is proactive maintenance in order to ensure the continued high reliability of this system.
