User Support

Members of the Drew Community can get support by calling the CNS Helpdesk at extension 3205, by visiting them in the Brothers College basement, or via instant messaging.

Drew’s CNS Helpdesk is supervised by staff and maintained by a group of trained student assistants who handle user support for more than 3,000 students, faculty, and staff via phones and a walk-up window. Desk attendants solve problems with standard-issue Drew software packages, Internet resources, computer viruses, and help diagnose configuration or operational problems with PCs acquired through the Computer Initiative. As the campus network has developed and grown, the support role of network services and client configuration has also become a routine part of their work. Students also assist in the basic upkeep and support of CNS servers and consult in the use and development of web pages.

Additionally, the CNS Helpdesk provides supervision, support and materials to the PC labs located in the basement of Brothers College.
