Supported Software Products

The CNS Helpdesk will provide support for standard software for up to five years past its last distribution to students. Some packages/operating systems may be phased out earlier if technical issues merit such a change (ie Y2K). Most software was distributed for use on specific computer configurations. Software installed on systems other than what was originally purchased/supplied by the CI will receive limited support. Software and operating systems not listed are unsupported. Please contact the vendor directly for further assistance.

Student PC Software configurations

  • Microsoft Office XP and Office 2003
  • Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP2 or later
  • F-Prot For Windows
  • Novell Client for Windows XP Professional
  • Novell GroupWise Client for Windows 7.0 SP1 or later
  • Macromedia Dreamweaver MX, MX 2004 or 8
  • Mozilla 1.7.10 or later
  • Firefox 1.5 or later
  • SPSS 13 or later
  • Mathcad 12 or later

Faculty/Staff PC Software configurations

All the software listed above, plus

  • Macromedia Flash MX, MX 2004, 8
  • Macromedia Fireworks MX, MX 2004, 8
  • Paint Shop Pro 8.0 or later
  • Adobe Acrobat 7.0

Software not already installed on computers can be installed through the Application Explorer or at software.drew.edu.
