WALL STREET SEMESTER PROGRAM

Taking advantage of Drew's geographical closeness to New York City, the Wall Street Semester brings students into the financial district to study, to listen to professionals who work in the financial world, and to visit the places that are so integral to the U.S. economy: investment banks, brokerages, and stock exchanges. You'll take a critical look at Wall Street's operations, learn the economics behind the transactions, explore the district's history, and discuss ethical and moral issues facing market participants. At the end of the semester, you will have a deeper understanding of the role of financial markets within the rest of the economy, as well as an appreciation for topics and controversies currently affecting New York's financial sector.

The program's directors are Marc Tomljanovich and Fadhel Kaboub, who currently alternate years.  Professor Tomljanovich is in charge of the Wall Street Program in spring 2007 and 2009, while Professor Kaboub will be running the program in 2008 and 2010.
