List
Recognizing that Drew University's array of International
and Off-Campus Programs may not meet the academic needs and interests
of all its students, the University has developed a list of pre-approved
international and off-campus programs sponsored by other colleges
and study abroad organizations. The programs have been approved
by the faculty for transfer credit towards your Drew degree. (Even
though programs on the appoved list have been approved for transfer
of credit, it will still be your responsibility to get pre-approval
for the specific courses you are planning on taking, using the CLA
Pre-Approval for Courses Taken Elsewhere form accessible by
going to the Application Process.)
It is important to note that transfer credit for work completed
on a non-Drew sponsored international or off-campus study program
will be considered only if the program appears on the approved list
or has been approved by the Faculty Advisory Committee on International
and Off-Campus Programs (FACIOP) through petition prior to participation.
While abroad, any changes to pre-approved courses need to be communicated
to the Office of International and Off-Campus Programs and approved
by FACIOP.
The programs on the approved list have been selected
on the basis of their academic and administrative quality and of
their ability to serve the academic needs and interests of Drew
students. The list is not meant to be exclusive, but rather to be
used as a guide. The programs have come highly recommended from
Drew faculty and past program participants and are viewed as a complement
to your course of study at Drew. If you do not find what you are
looking for on the Approved List of programs, contact the Office
of International and Off-Campus Programs for details on submitting
a Petition for Approval of International and Off-Campus Study Program.
