Academic Program
During the fall semester U.N. program, you spend at least two days
a week in New York at the United Nations. For an additional four
credits, you may also opt to participate in an Internship which
would add one additional day to your schedule. Once you are there,
members of the U.N. Secretariat, the delegations, the special agencies,
or nongovernmental organizations represented at the United Nations
make one or two presentations. Group discussion typically follows.
The balance of the day is devoted to other projects such as attending
various meetings, conducting interviews and gathering data for your
research project.
The Semester on the United Nations is an eight
credit program in which you enroll in two required courses. To complete
a full, sixteen-credit semester, you may enroll in one additional
course, including the internship or choose from others offered on
campus.
