Academic Program
May 25 - June 21, 2008
Venice is situated on 118 islands connected by 378
bridges. Called the "Queen of the Adriatic," the city
has a setting that none other can rival. The richness and charm
of Venice does not derive solely from the presence of significant
works of architecture and art, but also from the general layout
of the city and its way of life. A world center of the arts, today's
Venice offers a unique environment with a vibrant cultural life
that is ideal for learning Italian language and its culture.
The school (http://www.istitutovenezia.com) Istituto
Venezia (hosted in an historic building with a wide terrace on the "campo") is located in the center of Venice, in Campo Santa Margherita, a meeting place for students and residents with beautiful shops and open air cafes.
Istituto Venezia is officially recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education, and it is a member of Asils (Association of Schools for Italian as Second Language) and Tandem International, International Network of Quality Language Institutues.
