WELCOME
The Department of Chinese Studies at Drew prepares
students to engage a global society in which China daily plays
an ever greater role. Through intensive classroom learning and
extensive extracurricular experience, majors and minors in Chinese
are trained to communicate with the contemporary Chinese-speaking
world and to interact with that world through an informed awareness
of China's distinctive cultural values and traditions.
Study abroad in a Drew program or other programs
approved by Drew is strongly recommended, especially for students
who wish to emphasize language. With prior approval from the program
director, students may substitute up to three courses (or 8 credits)
with courses completed in such a program. Contact the Office of
International and Off-Campus Programs, Brothers College Rm 115,
973/408-3438, intlprog@drew.edu for
current information.
